7 dove killed this weekend....

Breasted, cleaned good, soak in water a bit...

My go to spice mix, black pepper and Tony's (seasoned salt)...

I thought these were cute, and might be perfect for dove...

Turns out those corn street taco tortillas are a bit too small for 1 dove breast and half a jalapeno. It barley wraps around, for this size tortilla, half a breast and 1/4 jalapeno. Next time, I'm going to use normal corn tortillas and cut them perfect size to hold 1 dove breast and half a jalapeno. And you have to soften the corn tortillas in hot oil first..

By the time I took the pic, family grabbed them all left me 5!!!

Good luck, it is best if you have big enough tortilla where it goes around a couple times. Look at my pic, where some only go around once, the cheese comes out not as good, this is more like a fried taco. But Flautas, tortilla goes around like twice, and I think it is better like that.

Also, don't over cook, it is hard to under cook it. A little blood running out is prefect.

I did not time it, and I think I over cooked those, but I would say a minute or 2 at 350. It would be hard to under cook it.
