But, I do want to know how you sexed her. I come here to learn, not "to teach". Females have more black and white bands on the tail. It’s been awhile, but I believe males have 3-4 and females have 5-6. Something like that.

It’s been awhile, but I believe males have 3-4 and females have 5-6. Something like that. Actually, it's probably a male. Males are bigger than females and have longer tails. He was a big one, pics didn't do him justice but that's as close as the wife would get.

Over the past 12 years, that makes about 20 I've relocated from just around that one container. One day I got 5 from around it.

Western diamondbacks have 5-7 bands on their tail whereas southern pacific rattlesnakes only have 3-4.... Westerners have more of a “bad” attitude, but the venom of the southern pacific is a nastier cocktail.....
