Guess it mattered enough that my significant other is on time. My grandfather said being late was disrespectful and rude, so my dad said it too and now I feel the same way. If I'm not going to accept it than I wont be with someone else who does. Early is on time and on time is late. I'm not going to let anyone disrespect me or make me late bc it's a socially accepted norm. Not in this house its not. I dont compromise on my morals just to appease others but to each their own. x 1 million

I guess I got lucky. Mine does a good job on timeliness. She was divorced for a long time and she has owned her own business forever, so I guess shes grown into a responsible lifestyle.

Been with the same woman since the 80’s. She struggles with being on time but has always been worth the wait.

The wife, after all these years of marriage is still usually late. 5 minutes would be about the degree of her lateness. Nowadays, when she’s getting ready to go, I’ll be in my chair waiting, till she finally says “I’m ready”. Well, her ready is what I call ‘girl ready’, which means she still has to recheck hair and makeup and pee one more time. She is rarely ‘guy ready’, which means I would stand up out of my chair, grab keys, and exit the house. We’ve both evolved to some middle ground readiness.

I just made a circle and came back but she was ready when I came back around.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

My wife is the type to show up too early so we have to spend 20 minutes driving around to kill time. I don't like being late either so it works.
I can't stand lateness. In fact - out of all the women I dated in HS and college (before I met my wife), I don't think I ever picked one that was the "late" type.

The "lateness" can be trained out of them.
If a chick really cares for a man, and does NOT want it to end, but she is constantly late to leave for events.
By the 3rd time the man actually leaves, and she's not in the car, she will change her tune, or the tune will end.
Addendum: Yes, some fights will probably happen, but if you just in the "dating" stage, just move on.
Addendum II: If lateness is a "wife" problem, then the husband already knew it before they walked down the aisle. He should have dealt with it in the "dating" stage.
Addendum III: I cannot believe some of the nonsense men put up with from dames.

I cannot deal with being late. I made that clear from the get-go. Now that we have a kid, we are late on occasion but not often.
