 I need to start carrying a camera with me

Riding on the Mule through the pasture this morning, I see a bunch of crows fly up, about 30 yards in front of me then I noticed one of the birds was WAY bigger than the rest. I see the white tail feathers and I immediately knew what it was, then I saw that snow white Head, and what I saw next surprised me, dangling from his Talon's was a half eaten squirrel. We usually see a eagle once or twice a year here, but never seen one flying with its food.

That’s very cool, they are a majestic animal and no wonder they are our National bird. You do carry a camera around...you have one on your phone

In the last year we've been seeing Kata-Kata's (spelling) aka Mexican Eagles around here. Didn't know they made it this far north.

Canon has a Sureshot that is a little bigger than a pack of cigarettes, fits easily in a short pocket. Takes great pics and videos, mine goes in my pocket whenever I leave the house. About 4 years old, cost about a $100 back then, probably $159 by now. A lot better than cell pics..

We have some resident Eagles on Lake Palestine. This summer it was common to see one patrolling the lake. I saw one land in a tree in my
backyard , but he did not stay long enough for me to grab my phone.

Several years ago, i seen an eagle and a hawk dive bombing one another. No phone at that time.

2 years ago during turkey season I watched a red tail hawk carry a snake to a tree where he or she ate it.

In the last year we've been seeing Kata-Kata's (spelling) aka Mexican Eagles around here. Didn't know they made it this far north. We see them pretty regularly on our place in southern Brown County. I think we have a nesting pair and started seeing a few years ago.
