Mike Mckinny. I have not done a mule deer hunt with him but have done 3 other hunts. He has a good reputation, always had a good time. https://www.westtexashunt.com

LoneStarTrail Outfitters does combo hunts for both muley and whitetail. Trent always does a great job and he has some fantastic animals on roughly 36,000 acres just south of Ft. Stockton.
Spend time with the ones you love. Time is not guaranteed.

The better outfitters are booked 2-3 yrs out on mule deer hunts nowadays....Desert Safaris or Wildlife Systems would be my choices.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

There is usually a cook in camp. He puts you on some really good animals. I've done a free range axis hunt and the management mule deer hunt. The ranch I hunted for mule deer was 100,000 aces and there were mule deer everywhere. Everyone in camp tagged out and the guys that where on the trophy mule deer hunt got some really nice animals. The axis deer hunt with Hunter was the most gun I've ever had on a hunt.

Wish I could do it every year.

what do his mule deer hunts run,
mgmt. and trophy I think its around 5K for management and 9K for trophies. We went 4 for 4 on trophies in January of this year, with scores ranging from 160 to mid 170s. When we went in 2017 by BIL took a mid 180s buck. Like an idiot, I passed on one that was in that same class on the first day of our hunt in 2017 and wound up taking a management deer. We were hunting peak rut both times, and probably saw 50+ deer a day and maybe 2-3 shooters per hunter over the course of a 4 day hunt.
