7-08 with a 150g bullet. I understand that there may be better powders but this is what I own and will be loading today. I have Varget but I’m saving it for one load. If it’s relevant this will be for a Tikka T3 Forest with a 22” barrel. Bullet is a Midway blem labeled “bonded spitzer BT”

Is the 4064 too fast for this weight bullet? Which would be best. I have no use for either powder so either is ok.

Anyone know what the bullet is by the way?

Man I have burned up a pile of 4064 in a 308 with 155-168-178 weight bullets seems like it would be perfect for a 7-08..

H4350 is for the creedmoor followers.. haha which I haven’t had any luck with!

The 4350 was for my 6.5x55 that I sold. It’s just hanging out now. Then again so is the 4064.

I'd guess the bullet is a Hornady Interbond.

IMR4064 is not too fast...per Hodgdon's 7mm-08 loading data with the 150 Sierra HPBT it is exactly 1 fps slower than H4350. 2723 fps vs. 2724 fps.

To beat those velocities requires a ball/spherical powder.

Yes, I also think your bullet looks like a Hornady Interbond.

Please follow all safe reloading practices.

I get a good crunch using 4350 and the 175's seated at 2.955 OAL. If the 4064 is faster i would start with it.

4064 is an ideal powder for the 7-08 with the 150 grain bullet. There's plenty of load data on the Hodgdon site, and I would think in other reloading manuals. H4350 will work, but it will be a heavily compressed load, unless you can seat the bullet out far to gain some powder capacity.

H380 always worked good for me with 150s. Bonus is you can still find it, although it is a bit temp sensitive it throws really nice without the need to weigh each charge.

I’m pretty sure I have the rest of that lot # you bought. I bought the rest of what Wileys had recently except the two boxes that were different. If you ever decide to get away from the Amax let me know.

Bullet looks like a Remington Premier Accutip. Not sure you can buy that bullet by itself but I used to shoot them a long time ago in factory ammo.
