Both brothers had it. One was sick for 2 days. The older was hardly sick at all. Now a sister tells us she has it, and she has some underlying conditions (some blood issue). Said her taste and smell left, but have now come back partially, and she never has felt real bad. He hubby had it too, but wasn’t very sick.

When my turn comes, I sure hope it’s mild. Seems to me that sooner or later it’ll be my turn.

That sucks.....................I don't know a single person in 8 months that has had it. Or went and got a test for it.

My wife was mildly sick with it. I quarantined with her for two weeks along with my kids. I can't imagine we didn't all get it but neither me or the kids had symptoms.

Wife's symptoms were mild body aches and upset stomach for maybe 12 hours.

I know several people who have had it. Most say a fever for a day or so and then normal.

Funny thing, the Flu count is way down... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Data from clinical laboratories in the United States indicated a 61% decrease in the number of specimens submitted (from a median of 49,696 per week during September 29, 2019–February 29, 2020, to 19,537 during March 1–May 16, 2020) and a 98% decrease in influenza activity as measured by percentage of submitted specimens testing positive (from a median of 19.34% to 0.33%). Interseasonal (i.e., summer) circulation of influenza in the United States (May 17–August 8, 2020) is currently at historical lows (median = 0.20% tests positive in 2020 versus 2.35% in 2019, 1.04% in 2018, and 2.36% in 2017). Influenza data reported to the World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) FluNet platform from three Southern Hemisphere countries that serve as robust sentinel sites for influenza from Oceania (Australia), South America (Chile), and Southern Africa (South Africa) showed very low influenza activity during June–August 2020, the months that constitute the typical Southern Hemisphere influenza season.

Good friend tested positive today. Loss of taste and smell but no other symptoms.

Tin Head, I’m 400 miles from my siblings, so am relatively safe. I keep testing my taste, which is doing fine, and from the smell of that hog I killed recently, my nose is in fine shape. The wife just gave me some toast with her jalapeño jelly, so still testing my taste buds.

Recent info from the sister...she’s doing fine. She’s a tough one. Has a mean streak if you hit her hot buttons.

This was my only symptom. I never felt sick, never had a cough, no difficulties breathing and never ran a fever. I lost my sense of taste and smell for almost two weeks.

angel for all who need it.

Well, I know plenty they have had it and 5 dead from it. Of course they were older and had other ailments but were doing fine until they contracted it. My aunt in Lubbock contracted it on a trip to Dallas and the whole family had it. Husband, son and her ended up in the hospital and 5 others had mild symptoms. She passed 2 days ago after being taken off a respirator. One fishing buddy lost both his MIL and FIL to it. Another buddy lost 2 uncles to it. Yes, I knew them all.

I'm 71 and was in the hospital for 10 days with it. No fun at all. 30 people in hospital had it when I went in. 10 days later 15 had died.

Happy you beat it. Any lasting effects, or are you back to your old self? Did your doctors mention anything long-term issues to look out for going forward?

The extra money for covid myth has been debunked for some time.

Incorrect..

Yelp highly incorrect, easily proven by many facets but Medicare patients are easiest to track, especially when put on a ventilator. Easily found in the Relief Act

Hopefully op’s sister is in and out with minimal symptoms of covid like the majority
