Hello Charles7322, Welcome to the forum. welcome

I haven't hunted Lake Lavon, so I dont have info on that. Are you hunting public or do you have a lease? That area is in the Norrth zone, TPWD dove has a split season, Sept. 1 - Nov. 12, 2020 and again on Dec. 18, 2020 - Jan. 3, 2021

If you're a public lands hunter, the specific are you want to hunt has the open time you can hunt, including means and methods. You ca nsee these here

Feel free to write back for any other questions - lots of dove hunters on here.

I'm not aware of any open fields there for dove hunting, but you need a permit to hunt there, and first time you need to go in person to the lake office. Talk to a park ranger, he may point you in the best direction for dove hunting there...

I have a lake hunting permit and a annual hunting permit for all of Texas public land. Does anyone know of any decent spots to hunt dove in north Texas ?

Charles

You already have the key to the door for some pretty good spots in TX with the Annual Hunting Permit (APH)...the only thing left to do is scout the properties within reasonable driving distance and find which ones that the birds are using.
