It got down to 35° yesterday so I decided to make that first pot of chili. I decided to go hog hunting at the last minute since it finally got cold and had it ready when I got back home. It was great.

She’s mentioning how good a pot of my Wendy’s chili would be. It would be pretty good. Look up the recipe in my posts.

Timely. Do you have your own grinder? Ever put chopped onions and grated cheese over it? How about Original Fritos?

Yes I have my own grinder and I put all of the above on my chili from time to time. There are no rules when it comes to chili.

I had quite a bit left over so I put it in a freezer bag and froze it for another day. Will probably use it for enchiladas or Frito pie.

I grind my own beef. It was a boneless chuck roast. Took me five minutes from start to finish. Later have to clean my grinder while its still wet and put it away.

Chuck is probably the best cut of meat to grind from my experience. I mix mine with brisket for a blend that make great burgers. Great job.

I buy the chuck roast when they are on sale and freeze them. This one was still partially frozen when I cubed it up for the grinder.
