Yes, money *may* be at risk. In all likelihood it is gone. I'm good, not worried. Rarely do used transactions and I'm exceedingly cautious. I'd rather risk money than do business with Paypal. That's just me and my principles.

Anyway, can you share a link to the scope ad?

For what it’s worth as long as the money orders haven’t been cashed, I’m pretty sure the buyers can void them.

Good deal. Over the years, I’ve kinda gotten over all the “I can’t support a company because they don’t support my guns” crap. Too many companies to keep track of and I don’t have time nor do I care to check the list of companies that don’t support 2a rights.

Since the user got banned all his posts disappeared, so no.

They were already cashed unfortunately.

Sometimes online is the only way and PP is as well. If you don't do something then it's easy to see why you don't understand.

I pay a metric chit ton of stuff online and with mobile banking/apps. I do understand completely and refuse to use those PayPal clowns. As stated, they are not the only game in town.

They sometimes are if you want a product and that's the only payment option given. In the knife world there are some high end knives that sell where the only option to pay is PayPal.

No doubt, it is hard and gets harder every day. I just do the best I can. Also, it's beyond 2A. There are other matters that I'm equally as passionate about that companies feel they need to voice their stance on.

Anyway, hopefully you get your money back.

I'd pass on the product or find another way to get ahold of it. My convictions and will are strong.

One knife in particular I'm thinking of is a folding knife that costs $700+ new from the maker. When the maker has a knife ready they post on their facebook page a lotto that is open for 30mins to a hour. Usually 600+ people say in for the chance to purchase. You pay with PayPal.

Those knives on the secondary sell for $1800+ and 99% of all knife sales on forums, reddit, facebooks, etc.. are paypal.

I guess I'd miss out and have to spend my $700+ or $1800+ on something else. Darn.

Just wondering why you feel like this information is even relevant to you?

Is selling knives on PayPal permitted? I thought they where in the same category as weapons.

Zelle has the same restrictions.

dogcatcher, what's your point? That's the second time you've posted that. Paypal has the same language. I'm sure most all, if not all, third-party pay services have it.

Until they get caught and PayPal locks the account and keeps the money, which they will do. Good luck getting the account back open and money back. Google it, you will see that many people have been screwed over by PayPal. No thank you, it's not a risk I'm willing to take.

I will gladly ship an item but buying used, I normally do face to face. There are forum members I would trust but rarely do I find a TRUSTED forum member selling what I want/need. And those types usually deal face to face anyway!

The largest knife dealers in the country use PayPal as a option. SMKW the world's largest knife store, BladeHQ, Knifeworks, knifecenter, etc...

I just looked at a few and they take major credit cards. Why on earth would anyone use PayPal when they are afforded purchase protection using their Visa, MC, Discover or AMEX? Stupid idea to use PayPal.
