![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/10/full-61160-260220-6e6b34a5_695d_4597_be61_0f02da9cb040.jpeg) Took my new CVA muzzleloader pistol to Oklahoma for the opener this weekend. Shot this big doe right before dark this evening at 40 yards. She was quartered hard away from me, and I had to slip the bullet into a narrow window. I have been shooting the Hornady MonoFlex ML sabot round for a couple of years now in my rifle, and this is the first time I’ve recovered a bullet. All others have been complete pass through. This bullet almost made it through, but stuck under the skin. Shooting two 50 grain Pyrodex pellets behind the 250 grain Hornady. Recoil is about the same as a hot loaded .44 mag in my T/C Encore pistol. Not horrible, but you definitely know you shot a magnum round.

That is cool and looks deadly. What the velocity and how do you carry it?

Carry is an Uncle Mike’s bandolier style holster. Fortunately it fits the same style as my T/C Encore .44 mag pistol.

Thanks, I have a scoped RSBH .44 w 10.5 inch barrel and have a jury rigged belt holster. Needing something a little more comfortable and convenient. Is the CVA a .44 caliber and barrel length ?
