For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

A deer that looks like the Hanson buck. I absolutely am in awe of a giant perfectly symmetrical typical.

In a perfect world I would like a 300 lb hairy northern US or Canada main frame 10 with double drop tines, tall brow tines and good mass all of the way to the tips. Pretty much like the one I posted but a little larger body and thicker coat.

A friend of mine who is not an avid hunter at all got invited to hunt Whitetail in Wisconsin on a customer of his families property. I think he said was about 500 acre place with mix wood and corn fields. He shot a big old hairy one that is to die for.

I have been very lucky to shoot 2 different beautiful whitetail bucks. I never dreamed I would see 2 bucks of this quality, much less be able to shoot them. I feel blessed. I would love to be able to add a 180+ mule deer buck to go with these nice whitetail bucks , on my wall.

Wow, Mike. I've never seen that double droptine buck. Was that a Kansas deer? What a monstrosity. Congratulations.

I've noticed that most of these bucks in the photos are typicals, and not the 300 inch ones. A good typical 8 or 10 would be my buck of a lifetime.

A deer that looks like the Hanson buck. I absolutely am in awe of a giant perfectly symmetrical typical. Yes, this. My HF neighbor has one with the same shape, etc, probably about 170ish. I've seen him running around a couple of times.

My dream buck would be like this with longer brow tines. This is my dream 8.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Wow, Mike. I've never seen that double droptine buck. Was that a Kansas deer? What a monstrosity. Congratulations. No the double drop buck came off a high fence ranch in Texas . I was lucky and entered a raffle for the hunt and won. Never dreamed I would shoot a buck like him. This other buck is from Kansas . Leased some small acreage and was lucky to be able to harvest him.

WOW What does he score as an 8 TLK??
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

My buck of a lifetime would be measured more by the location and experience of the hunt than by the animal itself. In fact, anything that I might take while on hunt in the mountains of Montana or Alaska would likely fit the bill.

OP requested Dream Buck and not anything about location or "the" experience.
