A lot of flesh torn off that guy and you can see the shoulder blade moving, but no penetration into the chest or abdomen means this guy might just heal up if he doesn’t die from exposure or coyotes tracking him down.

This is what I would call a large deep flesh wound. If he doesn’t die from infection, then his second most likely cause of death would be hypothermia and heat loss from that large gaping flesh wound where a good layer of fat should be. He is also at severe risk of getting a antler picture into either the abdomen or chest which could kill him.
