Once every season the old band members come to town and perform. Maybe we should have an open invitation to any of the old school band members that want to come down and play The Eyes of Texas.

That is a fine idea.

Son and I went to the TCU game. Wasn't a whole lot of fun for lots of reasons. Sure missed the band playing.

Just read a column from Yahoo writer "Shalise Manza Young (joined Yahoo Sports in 2015 after almost a decade covering the New England Patriots for the Boston Globe and Providence Journal)" It referenced the Eyes of Texas being rooted in racism and then went on to very badly explain that stance. It was a phrase taken from Robert E. Lee and the song was first introduced at a campus minstrel show where some of the performers were in black face. Someone has taken finding a way to go overboard and get offended to a whole new level.

I actually feel bad for all you tea sips.

I still dont know why or when black face became racist. I mean who thought twice when Robet Downey Jr did it? Or hell when White Chicks came out...... these kids get offended by everything now a days. If we go back far enough we can all be offended about something. Also nothing that happen 100 years ago should affect your life today unless you want to be a victim. Which I think most young kids want, and the rest want to be sympathetic.

Not to confident Baylor is so far behind in practice time due to Rona. Our defense should do ok but our o line needs more time and Charlie is struggling with the deep ball.

Maybe coach Herman and the band director should leave at the same time.
