Anyone been in Live Oak County lately, just curious how its looking couldn't get out there due to the last two storms.

The past 2 times (within the last month) i have been through the area headed south on friday evenings there have been deer all over the place out in the fields and road sides.

Right now we are unseasonably green and I’d say i’m seeing better bucks than I have in the last 5 years. We had amazing summer rain for the quail and they’re everywhere.

Last time I was there was early September and I've never seen that amount of deer in past 10 years, it was pretty green and they were still hammering protein. Can't wait until Nov. 7th

The spring and early summer was not that great this year in most of the county from GW and northward. Late rains really turned things around but a bit to late for antler growth this year.

Agree, never get it at the right time. I'm seeing the highest numbers ever in 10 years, don't know what caused the increase in the herd do quickly but I'll take it.

South of George west has gotten plenty of rain and that country is probably in the best shape of any area in south and central Texas
