So let's say a new Tundra with a sticker price of 51,000, what do you think is the price you would want to negotiate to not including TT&L? Cash and no trade in.

I would imagine anything over 7% would be good. I got 13 or 14% off my 4 runner. Anything under 47000 would be good.

I bought a 2020 tundra platinum in December and got them down to $10k off sticker. Not sure what trim package you have but availability in the market and time of month make a difference.

I don't study about either. I negotiate them down to their best price. Offer them a couple thousand less or something in that area, leave my contact information and walk away. It has worked for me.

They are all like giraffe azz.
Drive out for 10% less than sticker and you did alright.
Used Toyota financing for the rebate then pay off.

Yup, got a sequoia trd pro from him a few months. Easiest transaction I’ve had and felt like I got a good price based on my research.

It has been my experience that the best time to buy a vehicle is between Christmas and New Years eve.

I usually try and do my homework on what the real dealer invoice is and then offer 4 or 5k less than that. I’m also a big fan of when they put them on 0% ... can’t stand paying interest! Some companies offer it at different times of the year and some don’t seem to ever offer it. Not sure about Toyota.

I don’t think Toyota negotiates off list price much, unlike Ford and Chevy, who list it at 76,000 and you pay 58,000.

I think I like it the way Toyota does it. That’s the price everyone pays. You don’t leave wondering if the guy before you paid $2,000 less than you did, which is what I’d imagine I’d be thinking about if I bought an F-150 that was listed for one price and I might’ve left negotiating dollars on the table.

There's not much inventory out there right now and dealers can be more firm on the price. A lot depends on the trim package and add ons. They have more room as the price goes up.

They went to 46,700 out the door, TT&L included. I'm headed back tomorrow to see if we can close the deal.

I looked at their inventory and they have a bunch of city trucks right now. Everything was street tires. I'm not going to buy a new truck and then blow 800 bucks on off road tires.

Trust me. He can get whatever you want. He got mine from San Antonio.

I went through that today. I wanted an army green TSS Tundra and there are 3 in Texas and 2 in Oklahoma. All 5 of the dealerships told mine to go pound sand when they requested the transfer.

Of course there's always the thought that you should never buy a brand new vehicle. The depreciation is brutal, even for a Tundra, which holds its value better than most. Same for the Tacoma's.

Buying a 1-2 year old truck with 10,000 - 20,000 miles on it would be a better deal, strictly financially speaking, that is.

https://caredge.com/toyota/tundra/depreciation

Having said that, there is something special about a brand new car.
