Nope. Thank God. My 14 months old slept through the thunderstorm for 14 hours and would probably still be asleep

Our critters don’t have a problem with heavy weather, but they do hate loud noises - tractor, me shooting, etc.
Used to work with a woman that had a big dog (the breed I can’t remember) that actually chewed a corner off their wooden house during some bad weather when they were away and hadn’t put him in the house. She later asked me, if she brought the dog to the ranch, would I shoot him. Seriously. I cleared up her thinking on that.
And I had this cute little co-worker that said she was terrified of thunder and lightning and would hide in the back corner of her closet. I know that a number of you protective gentlemen would have volunteered to comfort her during her time of terror. Uhhhh...How cute?

The noon weather report showed a line of thunderstorms between Dallas and Houston.

Dawg hears thunder 10min before I do. He makes a dash for my recliner and buries his head in corner with his arse sticking up. I walk over and slap his butt and tell him to move. He growls at me. I go sit on couch. I’m trained.

My dog when he was young would go out and play during a thunderstorm. Fast forward to the Tornado in Rowlett that came pretty close to the house when I was not home. Now I know usually with 30 minutes or so of a bad thunder boomer. I can be sitting in my chair and if he is sensing a thunder storm he gets close and by the time I hear thunder he is standing on me, doesn't want to lay down just stand and walk around on me like he is holding me down.
Ine night he woke me up and I looked at the radar online and turned the TV on to local news. I saw the hook echo pattern about 20 miles away and they interrupted the late night programming for a weather alert that a Tornado warning was about to be issued.
He really does not like thunderstorms now.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

My GSD Ranger gets real anxious and paces the floor. Started giving him 10 drops of CBD drops on a piece of bread and 20 minutes later he just chills out. Good Stuff

He passed a couple of years ago, but I'd say and emphatic "Yes!" I always knew when storms were coming before they even got close with him. I would bring him inside to help, but obviously (as evidenced by the pictures) sometimes that did not work. Only one I ever had like this, and it got better once I got him some medicine for it.

My last lab had no problem with thunder or gunshots, but you start shooting off fireworks and someone is going to get bit. Sweetest dog, never met a stranger, loved kids, cats and other dogs, but would go absolutely BSC when the fireworks started.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Always thought it was strange that my dod hates thunder and will almost crawl under the bed. But let a gun shot go off in the field and she is fired up , whining and hyper and looks everywhere for a bird going down.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.
