I’ve been laughing...The 25 year old grandson now has what I’ll call his first real serious grown up girlfriend. I think that’s evidenced by the fact that he’s actually spending money on big dates. He’s never done that much before. I recently asked him how the whole thing was going. He said it was great, “BUT SHE’S LATE FOR EVERYTHING”. Further questioning leads to him saying she’s 15 minutes late always. I explained that he shouldn’t be surprised, and I think the 15 minutes is pretty much a standard lateness.

Ya know, women say we men can’t be trained. Maybe so, but that 15 minute thing can’t be trained out of them.

Poor grandson. Just beginning his life of being led around by the uuuuuhh...you know. The nose.....

Congrats to him...hope it works out well for him....

He’ll learn....I always tell mine we need to leave half an hour to an hour before we need to really leave so that when we’re running late because of her we are actually running early because of me....WINNING

I’ve just started telling her what time I’m leaving. It works. You may have to leave her a time or two but it works.

This man has the only solution that works.

Well I have one of those 15-20 minute late gals, I left her once, never again. I learned to say the time to minus 15 minutes. Been 52 years now. Still get some late stuff, but my tongue has calluses from not saying stuff, but facials do it all......good luck with his learning curve!

That's annoying, but if being routinely late is her worst issue, she just may be okay.

My wife is pretty good about being on time, but there is always at least one in every family! My younger sister is always at least an hour late for everything, so we tell her the gathering starts an hour and a half before it does and sometimes she makes it on time.

Just the tip of the iceberg of the inherent oddities of the female humanimal. He ain't seen nuthin' yet.

Yup.....they are still at the stage where they are trying to empress one another.....it’s a whole new ballgame when that wears off

I never dated a girl that wasn't on time. My wife has never been late, even when were dating. It never occurred to me that a woman being late is normal.

20 years ago in Houston for the weekend and told Cindy we were leaving at 8 AM and to be there..........She wasn't and back to Dallas I went.


Never late again.

My wife is 15 minutes early.

I was always on time.

I learned to be 15 minutes early.

Weekend mornings we compromise and we are on time to leave the house.

Did the same thing 44 years ago, when she was still in the house fussing with whatever I'd go out and start the car. Only took a couple of times and she hasn't missed a ride since.
I can't complain, I got a good one.

I have a good one. She is always early. My ex, not so much.

Guess it mattered enough that my significant other is on time. My grandfather said being late was disrespectful and rude, so my dad said it too and now I feel the same way. If I'm not going to accept it than I wont be with someone else who does. Early is on time and on time is late. I'm not going to let anyone disrespect me or make me late bc it's a socially accepted norm. Not in this house its not. I dont compromise on my morals just to appease others but to each their own.
