Some of my pecan trees start doing that on their own. You can literally look that up.

Totally off topic, but when we lived in Houston, and north of Bill, we did grow bananas. They did well around the swimming pool. Heat and humidity, I guess. So, Bill could grow bananas if he wanted to.

My brother and FIL both have poulans, their performance far exceeds what i expected out of them, i wouldnt be scared of buying one.

Two weeks ago went to the ranch with my folks and my dad had a new 80 volt ego electric pole saw, it worked very well and we put it through some paces/abuse i bet most will never come near.

You should do research and find out what fits your needs not cross everything off except what you already decided you want.

Get er done. All chopped up into more manageable pieces and ready to go into my burn pile. I use the wood ashes from my garden to prevent blossom end rot in my tomatoes. I'll use the blower attachment on my weed trimmer to get the fire going. I have a really good friend on here called New Gulf. He gets his burn pile going by using the wind from his riding mower.

I would bundle them up and sink them in the pond and make a brushpile for fish

My stihl extends to around 11’. You can cut way more than you want to pick up before the weight gets to you.

My Ryobi is only 7 feet from the trigger to the chain. That's all I can handle. I would have stuck with it anyway. I have several of these attachments.

Plus this thread was started with a new saw in mind where there was none. I don't see any of us running out to buy on as a replacement to the working one we already have.

This was started because the one I have has become too much of a bother to keep running. So, I already have one old pole saw, and like I said, the new one will be gas, not battery.

As for my knock on Poulan chain saws, the one I had wore out and gave up after about 5 years of hard use (could be 7). Till then it ran fine and did a decent job. As it aged it had a tendency to underperform. In comparison, the Stihl 029 I had 5 years before the Poulan and 6 or 8 more years since I gave the Poulan away is still running like a beast. I noticed yesterday that still have Poulan parts in the shed.

So, there’s nothing much wrong with a Poulan chainsaw, but it isn’t Stihl level quality.

I cleaned the 029 this morning when I sharpened the chain. It was an oily greasy wood chip covered mess. Shoulda cleaned it years ago. The MS250 is pretty nasty too, but only one saw a day gets cleaned. It’s a new rule I just thought of to cover my laziness.
