I heard recently that the Hole in the Wall is closed for good. Don't remember exactly, but seems like maybe the owner or his wife passed away? I could be wrong on that, but almost sure they've closed down. Too bad, I enjoyed that place when up in those parts...

The owners retired. We are going to miss it, we ate lunch there almost every weekend. That HOG Burger was enough to eat 3 time and they were awesome with the hunters coming in and out. My only issue we ever had there was the fact that they are OU fans. But they always took my hard times in stride and we always laughed about it.

My Stepdad would eat the whole hog burger and finish the cheese fries. I'm still impressed to this day LOL

That's sad. That was an awesome place to eat a burger.

Don't forget, Hole n the Wall ran a deer contest too, years of deer harvest pictures on the walls were always fun to look at while waiting for the Hog burger to come out.

I have eaten there a couple of times, the only thing I did not like about the place was the Cigarette smoke in there.

Agree when I saw that I walked out and never ate there.

2nd hand smoke was something to work through for sure.

I watched a few people bring deer in there and Ol' Bob would always say " come on fellas we got us one for the wall". He would normally take their picture with the deer and we'd talk a few minutes, but to see him interact with the kids that shot deer to bring in was always the best time, he'd spend an hour out there talking to the kids.

Sad to hear it's closed, great burgers. And, the deer pics were fun to look at.
