If she won’t keep them out of the dishwasher then don’t spend too much. We have a set of hinckels blades, including steak knives, that work really well. They make a German and a Spanish made offering.....one is cheaper....you can guess which. This. Go cheap if she puts them in the dishwasher. Got tired of trying to keep my last set of knives sharp because nobody else in the house took care of them. Bought the set below for the kids, I really like them a lot, use the chef knife regularly and you can't beat the price. Throw them in the dishwasher, use the little cheap sharpener when it gets dull and call it good. https://www.amazon.com/Chefcoo-Magn...en+knives&qid=1603464334&sr=8-29I also have a decent set of knives that I keep clean and sharp on the counter. I am happy with them as well, just don't use as much as the cheap ones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GL95B9...Y2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=One of these days I'd like a set of custom knifes, just not in the budget right now.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.
