 Why does it feel like it is over before it started?

I am betting the cold snap this weekend/early next week will kick that first rut into overdrive and that got me looking at the calendar.
17-22 days later from this impending cold snap, WATCH OUT! That is when most of our does will be in season and hopefully the bucks will be chasing! ESPECIALLY since that coincides with the new moon.
I have November 12-20 blocked off for being in the woods chasing whitetails. Then, it is up to go try and knock down a muley in Yoakum Co. for a few days. From there, over to Tennessee for Turkey Day with the family and some hunting at the farm in the foothills of the Great Smokies. Then, Christmas prep and parties and such chew up weekends in December until it is time for the fat man in the red suit and before you know it, we are staring at 2021 and waiting for October all over again. Why does it seem to go so fast?
