I have a woodpecker that has ruined 4 trail camera sensors in the past two weeks. Any suggestions on how to rig up a shield to keep this from happening?

is there anyway you can hide the camera better and get a good view of the area you want?

I know a guy that makes a wooden box to put his camera's in, I believe he puts hardware cloth over the front to keep the "Peckerwoods" from beating up the lens/sensor. I'll try and get you a picture tomorrow.

We never have had any problems with a camera on a T-post. But when we strapped then to a tree, the wood peckers would tear them up.

I was having the same problem and couldn’t figure a solution. Finally a light went off. I mounted my cameras on 4” pvc. It’s simply too slick for the woodpeckers to grasp with their feet to hold on and peck. Problem solved, try it.

What brand is the camera? I know Browning sells replacement covers for their cameras.

3 are Brownings and one is a spypoint. We tried taking pictures through plexiglass today and it worked so we might glue a piece of that over the sensor areas.
