Coldest Lone Star I ever drank was at The White Elephant in FW Stockyards. Still love it.

I haven't had a Lone Star in years.

It just seems right to be in an old dance hall, dive bar, SPJST, or VFW out in the country on a Friday or Saturday Night and order a Lone Star.

One event turned Lone Star Beer into an expensive beer. The movie Urban Cowboy. That one movie turned Lone Star from a regional beer to a national beer.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

The wife and I like Lone Star Light by the pool or at the lake. There is only one gas station in my area that caries it though.

Used to keep the long neck bottles and turn each case back in. They gave you credit for your returns. Man 8 miss junior high.

No doubt. My Dad drank Pearl. I'd 'steal' beers from his bass boat igloo cooler and take my boat out to fish. Tasted like carp but got the job done. Later he switched to Pearl light. Never stole his swill after that.

What impressed me most was the full body mounts of Timber Wolves when I went there in the 70's.

My grandpa Jim who owned Hodges grocery stores in Oak Cliff use to sit in his driveway all of the time drinking Pearl with his neighbor on Cedar Crest Blvd.
I borrowed a couple from him when he was not looking, when real cold and free they were pretty darn good grin

I don't. But I sure remember Hodges Groceries. This was in the 70s.
