Project gun finally finished after several years of on and off work and trying to find the scope that I thought it needed. If I figure my labor at $10/hour, I estimate the investment at around $2000.00. I worked the furniture pretty hard, but didn't do anything to the ironworks but a lot of WD40 and 0000 steel wool. Add the cost of the original rifle and then the scope, I could have probably gone on a really nice, guided elk hunt. Call it a labor of love; but the love started to run just a bit short towards the end. The market for $5000.00, single shot, .22LR's is pretty skinny, so I won't be getting my investment back any time soon!

The Unertl is a great addition!

I still have one with globe type sights that I used to shoot 4H silhouette competition in high school. One of my favorite guns to shoot and just handle.
