My wife and I along with our 2 1/2 year old are headed to Dallas next week for work/ mini vacation.
Any ideas on stuff to do or see? Any places that are a must for eats?

Thanks

As someone who has to go there once or twice a week, the best thing about Dallas is putting it in the rear view mirror. I’d be sure to hit Rays Hardware though. Great gun store.

I can tell you which areas NOT to hang out. I pulled these from a flat roof near the VA hospital.

Now I am thinking kid friendly.
If your near the Downtown area and it is a nice day, Clyde Warren Park is pretty cool during the weekdays.

https://www.klydewarrenpark.org/

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens are also nice on the shores of White Rock lake.I bet they have the Pumpkin deal going on.

Gaylord Texan Resort is a neat place.

This place is worth a visit

So is the Dallas Zoo, and no I mean the one on Clarendon.

https://www.dallaszoo.com/

I’ve lived in the DFW area all my life. I’d rather see things outside of Dallas proper

I assume that’s a response to where are you staying?

It really depends on where your business dealings are, I’ll say it’s harder to find a hotel in the right place than it is to find a hotel in the wrong place.

Agree with TexasLefty. Dallas area could be Frisco all the way to Wilmer with MUCH different experiences

To be honest. There isn’t much in the city of Dallas for kids.

You would probably be better off in Frisco. Near the star.
Nice restaurants in Legacy West area.

Try campisi pizza. Best bbq in my opinion is Pecan Lodge, but Hutchins is good too.

I was driving by six flags the other day, it looked open.

I would stay in the 121/legacy/tollway frisco area

Scheels, the star, NFM, within 25 minutes of everything

BBQ
Hutchins Frisco or Mckinney, Tender Frisco or Celina, Cattleack Farmers Branch

Or you could stay in Grapevine at the Gaylord or similar and see both Dallas and Ft Worth. FW has a lot of good BBQ also

All these places are north of the 121 line, Hint
