Have y'all noticed a drop in your prescription drug prices?

Ours have dropped significantly and the people at the drug store can't tell us why.

Here are the cost of some of our recent purchases.

4 prescriptions $5.76
1 prescription .89 cents
1 prescription $1.36
1 prescription $3.35
1 prescription $3.88
2 prescription $9.30

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

I don't buy into the whole " big pharma " thing
like everybody does.
To keep it brief I'll give one example.
The Good RX commercial I know everyone has seen.
The poor mom walks into the pharmacy with the kids
in tow.
She asks " how much will this prescription be?"
The pharmacist says " $67.00. . "
And the lady obviously can't afford it and
turns to leave.
The pharmacist stops her and asks if she knows
about Good RX.
Now, the prescription that was $67.00 just
seconds earlier is magically less than $10.00

So. . . . Why couldn't the pharmacy just cut
through the BS and just sell the medicine
for the 8 dollars and change?
Selling an eight dollar prescription for nearly
seventy dollars is taking a pretty big bite
isn't it ? They wouldn't let it out the door for
eight if they were going in the hole on the sale

Costco has great prices. Don't need a membership either.

Good RX rocks. Have used them for years but that doesn't explain the recent drop in prices.

My wife has kept our receipts this year and is going to do a spread sheet to get a better idea
of how much each script we take has dropped and when.

It is really hit and miss in my household. My blood pressure and cholesterol meds are free, but my wife and daughter's prescription is $300+ a month each.

I don't have to pay cash for my blood pressure prescriptions but they are not free. I have to work like a slave to get them out of these blister packs.

I’m a big believer of GoodRx.com. It has saved us hundreds. Just the other day my daughter had an eye infection and needed these drops. They were just stupid expensive and going to cost me over $100. I typed it into goodrx.com and it gave me this coupon to use at Tom Thumb for $12. You really owe it to yourself to check before you buy. It’s free and real quick and easy to use.

My wife is one of the reasons prescriptions cost so much, and I remind her of that every time I get a prescription.

We have BCBS and I still use GoodRX for one of my prescriptions. BCBS has a dumb policy where they will only fill one of my daily prescriptions with 15 pills every 20 days. GoodRX will fill the whole thing and it's only about $5 more than BCBS. The other thing to watch for with GoodRX is the price per store. With GoodRX, Walgreen's wanted $60 for the prescription where-as HEB wanted $6. So even with GoodRX, the pharmacy matters as well.

Thanks,
Rich

I have two prescriptions that are $500+ each, testosterone and Bydureon (from Gila Monster saliva. seriously). The others I'm taking are pretty cheap or free.

Our insurance just dropped coverage for Buspirone. 30 days was $25 with insurance. Now with GoodRX, 90 days is $40.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

I only take the one pill for my BP. 90 supply is covered in full by my insurance.
