Where’d the Diet Coke in cans disappear to? Maybe it’s just the stores we’ve been to, but that part of the shelves is empty.

Aluminum shortage. seriously.

That's a good thing

Talked with a friend in the grocery business. My wife has been having a hard time finding Sprite Zero. Three primary reasons according to my friend. Aluminum can shortage has been using up all surplus, and they can't make them fast enough. Ball Corp is major supplier, and is doubling production capability. The artificial sweetener shortage is second, and many of the sweeteners come from China. Third, the hoarders who helped cause the TP and Chlorox wipe shortages are keeping them any time they find them on the shelf.. If you've noticed, when they run sales now, it isn't nearly as cheap as the summer was.

There seems to be no can shortage for beer. Just saying.

Yeah my wife said the samething yesterday. My theory also in addition to the above, everyone is eating/drinking more and getting fat, this is increasing demand for diet drink.

The walmart here didn't have any budweiser for two weeks.

Pretty sure no artificial sweeteners used in beer.

No store should have Budweiser ever.

I haven't seen Diet Coke at the couple of Sams I go to in about 3 weeks and I've been buying the 16.9oz bottles instead. It almost seems like Coca Cola is alternating back and forth between production of Coke and Diet Coke. Before the Diet Coke disappeared, Coke was gone from the shelves for a few weeks.

I'm seeing the same issue with the multi-packs of Gatorade G2. Sams was out of them for almost a month.

Uh oh, I better go get a truck load of Dr. Pepper.
My better half has a mild addiction.

Sweetener Shortage, I drink 8+ cans a day I always have a stash of Diet Coke bet we have 10 cases at least.....

meh... I switched to water and tea a long time ago. I might have a Coke once or twice a year. When I do I remember why I quite drinking them. Only the first sip taste good and I'm thirsty when I finish drinking it.

I got off the cokes and Dr Pepper a long time back. I am glad I did. I drink one every now and then.

I can find Diet Cokes but Tom Thumb has been out of Coke Zero the last two trips.
