What’s everybody using for window screens? It’s always hot the first month of gun season and the yellow jackets make it miserable if the window is left open. My windows flip up and I would like a screen on a few of them to get a cross breeze, but still be able to easily remove to shoot

Normally if you scream at the top of your lungs, the yellow jackets will exit the blind.

No Pest strip in each of my blinds, no bug problem. Run a Thermacell in the stand if skeeters are bad.

Sounds silly, but it works great and I use them. Spray bottles filled with water. When you see a red wasp, just spray it. The thing will go away. I have heard using the No Pest strips or a Thermacell works good. Thermacell for mosquitoes.

I have heard using the No Pest strips or a Thermacell works good. Thermacell for mosquitoes. Add a tablespoon of dish soap per cup of water. We used fiberglass screen, stapled above the window and just let it hang down when needed. It was simple to roll up and tie off when not needed.

I am not afraid of the yellow jackets, but I severely dislike them crawling down my back looking for a warm place to spend the night. I’d rather be watching for animals than [censored] with yellowjackets all evening

We will place pest strips in the blind. Yellow jackets hate them. Put one in now and you won't need no screens. I usually buy them where I find them, the feed store or other. yeah, there is ascent to the, You put them in now before you hunt it or after your first hunt. It'll air out and be okay quickly. Still works to keep pests out of the blind.

Hudbone, I have used them with very little success. One year I killed over 200 yellow jackets in the blind in one afternoon with one of those hanging up. They used the blind to escape the cold.

Hmmm . . ., caught off guard. I've gotten in to blinds where there were 200 of them dead. One of these blinds is a round black plastic blind that has quite a bit of air flow. That black plastic heats up and the yellow jackets just lovey it in front of approaching cold fronts.

I hang two no-pest strips in the blind and never have a problem with wasps.
