That's an old pre-Rem JM. Might be a 48-52 waffle top. It's been decades since they made a short tube 336.

Yeah great job on the pig!

But I couldn't help but notice the dog too ( I'm a dog guy...)

The Mal is one of my very favorites to work with!

It's a 1970 Glenfield Marlin, I picked it up a couple years ago for a pretty good deal. If I recall correctly, it is a model 36A.

well i just got him from a friend of mine, he is one of the best puppy’s i have ever had. he is so curious about everything and loves to just be right by your side. he is 3 months old, almost completely potty trained (tinkles when he gets too excited), and he has not chewed up ONE thing since i’ve had him. he has never been car sick or done anything wrong in a vehicle even when i leave him unattended. i love him so much i am thinking about getting a second one to train and sale in a few months hopefully.

Killed my first buck, a trophy spike with a Model 94 Winchester 30-30 while hunting by myself at age 7. I guess more deer have been killed with a 30-30 than any other caliber. Congratulations! There's a certain romance when hunting with a lever gun. I guess that is why I am so proud that Ruger purchased Marlin...hope to keep the tradition alive.
Adios,
Gary

Excellent job. That's exactly what a truck gun's meant to do!

I have worked with many different Mals, but if you have a 3 month old thats never chewed up a thing, you need to get a goose...cause the way your luck is, it will lay golden eggs! laugh

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Mals..but they didn't;t get the nickname of " Maligator" for no reason!

Great pics! Keep it up!
