i went out to check one of our game cameras and saw this sow about 700 yards away. the only gun in the truck was my dads 30-30 and he was at work so he couldn’t bring me any other gun. i had never worked or shot a 30-30 so i facetimed him so he could tell me just how to work it. once he explained i started walking. once i got about 100 yards from her i went ahead and took my shot!

It's been said that the 30-30 had put more animals down than any other caliber. I'm not sure if that's true but it's my 'go to' and gets more action than any other rifle in my safe.

I asked more about the gun when my dad got out there since it made such an impact at 100 yards, i can post a better pic of the pig closer up to the shot. what looked like the exit wound was this entrance and that amazed me!

The hardest and most frustrating thing was learning how to put a lever action on safety over facetime!
