Are there any good ones left on the east side of the metroplex? I’m in garland and the store here closed down not that I liked it very much. I’m starting to look for a new bow after season and can’t decided If I should buy a press and just start working on my own stuff or what.

I have not had them do any work for me, I have visited On Target and shot a couple bows there when thinking about another bow. I have sent some customers there when I was working on bows that reported back they took care of them. Those were people that had bows we did not have or could not get the parts not being a dealer of those brand bows.

All Star I have done the same with for customers.

Another shop that comes to mind is Native Outdoors in Royse City, i know they had a very good bow tech there at one time and a pretty nice range. Looks like Native Outdoors archery work is not going on right according to their pave https://www.nativeoutdoors.com/archery Johnny is a good bow tech and guy. Hope his surgery and health improve quickly[align:left][/align]

Well I think it will have to be between cinnamon creek and on target. I shot the Mathews vxr at scheels the other day and really liked it.

I guess I’ll give them both a call and see if they’ve got what I want and will be able to tune and set it up.

Im brand new to bow hunting so I dont have a frame of reference to compare them to but On Target I was very very impressed with. I dont know anything about their pricing. The are always real real busy so that tells me something. Its been forever since I have been in any busy of any kind that took so much time with me as they did. Even though they have people lined up to get in they take all the time you need. The owner has always been there working fast and furious along with 3 to 4 others. I dont know if this is normal for bow shops but they dont just take your bow and say will fix it when we get time. They seem to fix it right then when possible. It makes their wait time longer but when you go in you often go out with a fixed bow. Once again, im a rookie and I was buying a Mission xbow. I went in 3 times and ask a ton of questions and shot the bow a bunch. They just stayed with me very patiently. They actually seemed like they cared(a far cry from Walmart.)
I think they are closed on Monday and are open from noon to 8 most days. They may be open on Sundays for a short while during season. I know they are a Mathews dealer.

At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

I didn’t know they were moving. Dang it. Those guys in there are good ones imho. Been there a million times and asked a million questions before spending a penny. Never, not once did he make me feel weird about it. Those are my favorite type of shops.
