Wow...any idea what caused such a dramatic difference? I would expect the opposite...

Change in barrel harmonics. Load development was done without a break.

I was confirming zero on my 22 before one of our matches and decided to throw on the suppressor. My 1 hole groups at 50 yards opened wayyyyyy up. Took that thing off and threw it back in the case LOL.

Agree, Kyle....I didn’t get the brake before Jason did the work up, we talked about it and the possibility of a change. Also screwed one on to my .22 just for fun but haven’t shot it yet to see.

Chris, what rifle and caliber was that? I've never seen it open the groups up that much.

wish my rifle shot that good, mine groups like your "no brake" group all the time It’s amazing when you actually work up a load for a rifle versus just picking some random dude’s recipe. Nice shooting Chris.

Thanks Judd. Chad, it’s a Rem. Varmint Contour, 24”. Brake is a Delta (Live Oak Accuracy) timeable with a nut and very slightly larger in diameter than bbl.

That brake has a lot of holes and a lot of openings. I would inspect the brake to see if there is any burrs or areas of the brake causing the muzzle gases to open up the groups. I've never seen a brake cause that bad of an accuracy change. On a thicker Varmint contour barrel, I would think there would be no change in POI or accuracy. Something else is causing it.
