If i didn't know any better i would swear i wasn't wearing pants at all.


Pricey but if you want to pamper yourself, pick up a pair.

Within that genre, what other brands do you have experience with that they are more comfortable than?

Also, how robust do they seem to be?

This season, I'm wearing the First Lite Catalyst line jacket and pants and love them as well. Durability appears top notch, but that's easy to say this early in their service life. I hunt the wind, but I also try to control scent on my clothes and equipment as I'm able, so my hunting clothes are washed frequently and in my experience, that is where the durability will show.

I've worn Wall's, Scent Lock (not for scent control), and several Cabela's branded hunting suits and the First Lite is by far the most comfortable. My only complaint is the legs are too narrow and make it almost impossible to wear the pants over the knee-high boots that I wear on the whitetail stand (snake or cold-weather Muck's). My preference is not to tuck my pants into my boots. YMMV.

I normally stuck to Cabela's and Redhead style hunting pants, that were Cotton. I do have one pair of water proof softshell pants that i wore over a set of cotton pants that were from cabelas as well. Good material but they were heavy.


as far as robustness....that remains to be seen. I wore them every single day during a 7 day hunt and they did not tear on briar that i though for sure would rip a hole in them. Still, i don't think they will hold up well in the brush country or anywhere with alot of thorns.

I'm sure they are on par with Sitka and Kuiu, the attack pants only come in one length so i passed on Kuiu as i would have to have them hemmed and didn't want to go to the trouble, and i liked the first lite pattern better ( the new Valo pattern is awesome though).

Agreed on the FL corrugate guide pants. Very comfortable and plenty of pockets.
