Is ON with his 20 gauge. 9 yrs old and gets better every time he snaps that shotgun to his shoulder. I backed him up of course, but today was the first time I refused to help him find birds until all was lost. Both shooting 20 gauge pumps, and my 6 yr old baby girl is still the best bird dog in Texas. My Son & I bagged 22 birds this evening with a bonus rabbit on the way out. Would have had 2 limits but lost some to the brush and the turtles. Boy was doing a hell of a job knocking them down. I did more smiling than shooting. Thank you Lord. My birds diapered this weekend in Haskell county, despite great conditions. I scouted multiple properties 15 miles apart, freshly plowed sunflower, freshly sowed winter wheat, shredded sunflowers... Birds moved on, glad you guys got some birds to shoot, shoot'm while you can!

Roger that. I’m trying to get my oldest kids to go right now, but work has them tied up on weekends at the moment. Hopefully soon.

Oh and the eyeballs.....my little girl has always been infatuated with eyeballs for some reason. When she’s with me every deer or pig I shoot, she asks me to please cut the eyeballs out for her so she can check them out and play with them. She’s been on me for dove eyeballs, but they are pretty hard to remove intact. I popped that rabbit with my 22 pistol on the way out and all I could here was “DAD DAD, I will help you clean it but I want the EYEBALLS!”. Jeez, I thought that pistol was loud.  Who knows, maybe she’ll end up being an eye doctor some day. Anyway, she messed with these things until I finally had to shut it down and put her in the shower LOL.
