By no means am I a turkey hunter. I always say every year I am going to give it a shot but work and other things seem to get in the way.

Last year I was covered up with Turkeys, this is the first I've got on cam since my cell cams have been out. I think I put them back out first week in August.

I have a lot of fun with my cell cameras. This area is new, just set the feeder and stand up this year. You can see my tripod off in the distance. The jury is still out on this spot. Back behind my feeder is a creek bottom, I wanted to set the feeder up in the bottom but hurt my foot and wasn't in good shape to walk.

The guy that runs the lease asked why I put my feeder where I did and not in the bottom. I said I didn't see that low spot and bounced the feeder out of the bucket of my tractor. As sore as my foot was thats where it stayed LOL. Turned out I have a broke bone in my foot.

Last year I threw out a bunch of rye grass that came up. I had no idea they go crazy over rye grass.

I threw some out this year but not as much. Dang crows came in a scarfed it up as soon as it hit the ground.

Thanks, Billy

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

last year the pigs came in and ate up all my cowpea seeds. Then I came back with seeds I threw out and Turkeys came in and cleaned that up.

This year it was dang crows. I have a pile more of them this year and years past. Oh well, its 2020!!!

Thanks, Billy

This. The only thing I hate more than turkeys is raccoons. Every time I sit out I see between 25 and 75 turkeys. They run from feeder to feeder like the dinner bell is ringing.

I only see turkeys on cam when I’m not around. Never see them setting on a stand.

Thanks, Billy

75 turkeys can clean up a heavy corn line in the blink of an eye!

But, a good size pack of javelinas can do the same as well. lol

The most turkeys I've ever seen were on a lease we had about 25 miles south of ozona. It was not uncommon at all to have 3-4 big flocks of hens come in and absolutely vacuum up all the corn in just a few minutes.
So many in fact that the owner told us to bring as many people as we could bring in the fall and let them fill their tags with hens.
