I need an computer expert. My Question is " How do I eliminate email addresses that are showing up when I try to forward an email? I have never been in touch with any of these email addresses and cannot even recognize them as real." 1. Type “Outlook.exe /cleanautocompletecache” in the Windows Search bar and press Enter - Tell me the result.
2. Check if the option “Use Auto-Complete list to suggest names when typing in the To, CC, and Bcc lines” has been checked under File > Options.
3. Use the tool called NK2view to confirm whether it really is stored.

No, it’ll just wipe the quick list that appears under the To: window. It shouldn’t touch your contacts. If you want to test first, locate the file location and add .bak to the file name. That’ll take it out of the loop. Change the file and back if you don’t like what it does.

This data assumes you are using Outlook for email.

Not sure why unrecognized email addresses would be cached, the autocomplete addresses are from emails you've sent.

So, are you accessing your email using a web browser for gmail? Then all the suggested email addresses are being provided by the Google algorithm which thinks it knows who you want to include in the email. This list is compiled from ALL your previous activity on the Internet as indexed by Google. Changing this is a laborious and tedious process of adjusting your profile with Google. Only crazy or anal compulsives will attempt this with success. Good Luck, Google has taken control of your Internet life. You are doomed.

This is the kind of Outlook things that are why I use Thunderbird, which by the way sucks too anyways just in it's own ways.
