It was a slow morning. Had a doe and a spike come in but neither offered a shot. Yesterday evening it was brutally hot so we went down south to take delivery of a deer herd on one of my clients ranches and drove around and shot at hogs.
This morning had a old battle axe doe come in but after an hour and a half she never offered the 15-17 yard shot we needed.
We saw 8 deer in total all morning which is weird because we normally see all bucks on this place
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
