And it’ll kick you right in the face, when you least expect it. I suppose that’s to keep us on our toes. I don’t know.

A lot has transpired in my life, recently, and caused me to reflect on myself. I’m not one to air out my needs or woes or transgressions or personal life or whatever random things I personally deem unworthy of talking about, on this forum. But, as my friends here have kindly pointed out, I’m a day closer to death. I’ve come to realize that there is an actual person behind the handle, here, and that they and I are more alike than different, and the differences we do have are not nearly as significant as I’d led myself to believe. At any rate, this place is full of truly decent people. I’ve been most fortunate to meet a handful of them, and not once was I disappointed. Had I met the rest, there’s no doubt that my online interactions with them would have been far more productive.

Some of you know that I’ve spent time in hospitals, lately, and a few of you know why. About four months ago, I was blessed with another child. About a week ago, I was blessed with a grandchild. My latest baby had a condition known as craniosynostosis. He recently had surgery, which involves removing parts of his skull. He now wears a helmet to help his skull grow correctly. He doesn’t like the helmet, at all, but he’s doing very well. The surgery was perfect, and the entire medical staff was amazing.

I’m not old enough to have grandchildren, and Atticus isn’t old enough to have a nephew, but here they are.
