Pics I took of a buck on my place back in Sept. this year. Here is a pic of him from 2018 and then 2019 also.

Congrats! I remember him. Looks like a great plan that worked out well & I think he's about 142. Perfect example of letting a buck go a few seasons to put some meat on his bones. Your progressive pics say it all. Can't wait to hear the story.

Great mass and beams but I think he just missed 140.

Little background on deer killed on my place where I live. Ranges on mainbeams, mass and spread has been from 82" to 86" with one buck around 88". Mass ranges from 25" to 27" and mainbeams from 20.5" to 22" with one buck having one beam at 23" in the past. Tine length is always good but the downframe is what keeps the bucks from scoring really well. Body weights are from 108 post rut to 145 in archery season before the rut. I saw this buck opening morning in the feed pen at 35 yards but did not think he looked as good as the day I took the photos of him. I had another mainframe 8pt with him that I had found a shed off of and thought he was around 125 and this buck looked a bit larger. I had him originally around 131-134 the day I took the pics then saw him a few days after and took more pics. I then put him at 134-138 range. In the back of my mind I knew what the downframe scores were in the past so I was not going to score him higher based off of that. Yesterday he came in at 6:55 and then finally jumped in the feed pen. He looked much better than any other sightings or trail cam pics I had off him.
This was opening morning with him to the right of the feeder. The 8pt is behind the feed pen to left of feeder. Sorry but low light cell phone pics are not the best.
