Question for guys that have been on a Pheasant tower Shoot. Shot sizes? 5, 6 or 7-1/2?

5 hi brass only. You'll be much happier that way. ^^^^^^^ This. That is my standard pheasant load after trying the rest on your list. One of the best experiences I’ve had at an outfitter was on a put-and-take pheasant hunt about 20 years ago. They had two tower hunts the day before, and a LOT of the birds made it past the stands. We got to hunt all the ones they didn’t get. Paid for 10 birds, brought home 22.

This is what we have come to really like when we are not shooting sub gauges. We hunt wild Nebraskan birds though, and they get western real quick. We have found these Kents at cabelas up north for 10/box. I likke the remington long range in 20s, as they are 1550fps

I would agree with you guys if we're talking about wild birds. I've hunted wild pheasants over 50 years and heavy #5 shells are my go to.
Tower shoots are different though. A lot of places limit you to #6 and smaller to reduce the chances of shot carrying across to the other side of the circle. Since the birds are all incoming it makes a difference too. Plus they are pen raided birds so they are no where as hard to bring down as wild birds. It also depends on the surrounding of the tower. If there are trees surrounding the field, then they could be higher, so I guess that might call for larger shot.
I like #6 shot for a tower shoot and they don't have to the extremely high velocity. For preserve shoot with pen raised birds I use #7-1/2.

I’ve been to a few dozen tower shoots. You will be taking pen raised pheasants coming toward you. The birds aren’t tough and you don’t have to get through much to cleanly harvest them. You also don’t want to tear them up so you can eat them,
1 to 1 1/8 oz #6 at a modest speed say 1150-1250 fps.
The pheasant will fly higher on dryer/low humidity days and lower when there high humidity to a heavy dew.
Dry day: Modified for the first shot, IC for the second. Heavy dew: IC for the first shot, skeet of the second.
Hunting the same pheasants over pointing dogs in the afternoon: 6s or 7.5. Skeet/ Light Mod
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.
