Arrested for murder, given a $1 million dollar bond and was out the next morning. $100K is a lot of money to come up with overnight for bail.
Also, thats a big ol boy. He is new to the force, Im guessing the WCPD does not have a physical fitness test or a weight limit? He looks like he is pushing 350 lbs. Not saying that as a derogatory statement, just suprised. Not sure he posted bail. He was transferred to Hopkins County jail because he knew the workings of the Hunt County jail. That’s why it shows released from Hunt Countu News said he bonded.

Sad the poor man lost his life trying to help, strange thing is I don't believe this type stuff was happening until recently, I just don't remember any of my buddies shooting unarmed people, black or white. Maybe I'm just out-of-tough with the real world.....

Maybe I'm just out-of-tough with the real world..... the standards for employment have been cut across the board. Defunding IMO started years ago. I know here in dallas it seems they hire anyone that will apply. How many years now has dallas been saying theres no money for police.

The news that I saw said that he was transferred to Rockwall county and was still here.

Editor's Note: NBC 5 originally reported Lucas bonded out of jail, online jail records did not show a bond was paid, but Lucas was transferred to Rockwall County's jail.

The cop is 22 years old? That is really young. Yep, he was a jailer in hunt county at the end of last year, passed the academy in March, and was hired by Wolfe city I. April. I’m betting that this comes down to a lack of training and a city the size of Wolfe City doesn’t have lots of money.
