So I guess all my hunting boots are heavily insulated and HOT! what are y’all wear in the high brush/fields for dove or even warmer hunting seasons? Any particular brands that are light weight, comfortable, cool and brush proof.

A light pair. My suggestion would be to invest in a good pair of snake leggings, like the rattler brand. My best friend and his family and my family hunted around Haskell for dove and quail. We never made a round without them and they were worth it. Had several strikes through the years but were protected by leggings.

I wear a pair of Chippewa Brome snake boots or Danner Desert TFX's depending on which side of the state I'm hunting or if I'm in snake country... Both are Gore-Tex/waterproof but like previously stated, can be warmer/sweaty. However I'm still 100% fan of being waterproof. Helps with the morning dew or fishing downed birds out of a tank.

I just wear regular cowboy boots, currently shark skin since it is tough but still comfortable.

So I was wanting the same thing, boots for field hunting and snakes. I went back and forth looking at this and that and visiting Bass Pro and Cabelas. Found these at BootBarn for $195 and 10% first time purchases. So for $175 + tax I ended up with these. Haven't worn them yet but I really like them so far. Justin Snake Boots

tennis shoes --------- I hunt 30 yds from my truck and my dog goes out and retrieves the birds. Don't need boots to walk 30 yards.

Danner Jackals are uninsulated and lightweight for warmer weather and the soft sole make them comfortable to walk in all day every day .
Not all those that wander are lost..
