I have 4 feeders out this years. I seem to have way more hogs, coons and fox this year than in the past. Also fewer Coyotes pics.

I guess the Yotes pick up stakes and move off and coons and hogs moved in. I had 4 coons under one feeder and 14 pigs under another.

Last year I think I had one fox on cam. This year get a pic of one almost every day and not all at the same feeder.

I think the hogs are keeping the deer off my feeders. East Texas is tough hunting but much more deer activity in past years then this year.

Cell cams keep things interesting.

What kind of critter you got hanging out at your feeder.

Thanks, Billy

Thanks, Billy

Whitetails, turkey, a few coons, and one blackbuck doe. Nothing too exciting unfortunately.

If you're not using feeder pens, I find the next best solution is to shoot every pig that comes to the feeder. Last week I could see on a cellular trail camera that a group of hogs had taken over a particular feeder. I had frustrating pics of a big buck we're after trying to come in for a bite, only to be run off by the same sounder. Our solution was to spend an evening shooting the hell out of the pigs (4 confirmed dead). Since then, they have only been coming in during the middle of the night when the corn is mostly gone. It's not a forever solution like feeder pens, but it works pretty good on a short term basis.

Whitetails, fat coons, few pigs (just shot big boar and rest have stayed away for a bit), crows, dove, one yote.
No pen. Shut it off for a week to let cows graze off, didn’t turn off camera so lots of cow pics. As expected, they knocked it down.....
Back up and on this week, Pics are back to repeat of above.

In East Texas, Timber Company land we have no cows which is not a bad thing. I had never hunted in East Texas until couple of years back. The guys laugh at me when I say I'm going to the other pasture!! LOL.

In Aug. I had a bob cat or two on Camera. One looked like it might be a big tom, he was good size.

Thanks, Billy

All of a sudden, the feeders are lonely. Corn is piling up. I think acorns are the favored food right now.

Yeah, I agree on the acorns. With my broke foot I haven been out much to check. I hope to make a run to the lease and check feeders one more time before I limp out to my bow stand in two weeks. It’s getting about time for acorns to start hitting the ground. Will try to get an acorn read too.

Thanks, Billy

In Montague county, only one hog occasionally, very few raccoons, not coyotes. Last year I had no hogs at all.The year before that I was covered up in them.

I put up a feeder and camera at my daughter's new place outside Glen Rose. I've had deer, coons, and gray foxes there. No hogs, thank God.

This year I have gotten deer, coons, possums, skunks, hawks, crows, bobcats, baby javi's, whistling ducks, tree rats, blue indigo, armadillo, rabbits and tons of doves/birds inside the pens...with turkey, javis, coyotes and hogs around the outside of my pens. Even had foxes and coyotes inside pens in the past...just not this year.

Most to the least, hogs. Deer, turkeys, coons, crows, coyotes, possums, couple skunks, and a roadrunner.

Lots of deer this year. Fortunately we don't have hogs...yet. Unfortunately way more coyotes this year than in the past.

Last week I had Noah's ark unload at one of my feeders! Had pics of

Whitetail Deer
Red Tail Hawk
Possum
Porcupine
Coyote
Raccoon
Grackle
Dove
Mouse
Field Lark
Bobcat
And my first ever BADGER pic!

I never get hogs at this location for some reason, I've only ever had 2 and they were in the background walking by never came in to eat.

we have the typical deer, pigs, coons, squirrels. The biggest surprise this year is quail. We're getting pics of a descent size covey fairly regularly. The biggest surprise is we haven't seen any turkey on camera this year. There is a roost about 500 yds away from one feeder, and typically they show up daily. They are still roosting in the same spot, but haven't been to the feeder yet.

6 feeders South of Bowie. Lots of legal bucks, does and pigs.

AND TURKEYS on a cam! First time I've seen turkeys in the Fall in over 20 years. They generally stay on large ranches around me and come in the Spring during breeding season. I told the kids that are bow hunting not to mess with, spook or molest them. I used to be butt deep in them but during the 4 year drought, they got hit hard.

Very few acorns this year. Last year they were overly abundant and we saw almost no deer, just a few hogs.

I've always had a few crows, this year they are hitting my feeders in large numbers by the flock. Not sure there is enough corn left for deer to mess with. Same for the dang coons, they are waiting for feeders to go off.

Starting to see a bobcat or two in the last week or so on one of my cams.

Thanks, Billy

All the usual suspects plus last year I had a coatimundi set up camp near my feeder. I thought that was weird because my place is a bit far north for them but I did a little research. Apparently lots of Mexican families keep them as pets and bring them North when they illegally immigrate. When the going gets tough the kids will frequently let them go so they don't end up in the stew pot. I'm not sure who got him, coyote, bobcat, fox, hawk, owl, or a hungry Mexican.

Set the Camera and feeder a month ago. First week of Photos I had 3 adult and 9 young coons. Who knows after that; someone in the Sabine River bottom decided they needed my camera more than me. I'm the only one officially hunting that area, so assume coon hunters going through at night. [Linked Image]
