Three days ago I noticed my peach tree had lost some leaves. I sprayed some Spinosad on it as that is all I had. Two days later they have stripped all the leaves. What say the gardeners here to be the best thing to do now?

Thanks

Don't study about it. They will come back next year.

I'm north of you and don';t even have yellow leaves on my peaches yet. Not sure what "they" are, but if they are still around, permethrin 10% from TSC/Amazon mixed in a sprayer will knock them hard, then consider neem oil, or similar for a winter treatment.

I'd also keep the ground lightly moist, but not soaked and see if that helps the tree.

Don't think it is due to the Fall there are no yellow leaves on the ground. it is like something ate all the leaves. Thanks Western I will try the permethrin.

I wouldn’t rule it out. Neighbor lots all the leaves on his 30 foot tall Red Oak middle of summer 2 years ago. He called a company to cut it down and they said it was still alive, just going through a phase. Sure enough the next spring it was full of leaves.

The leaves looked like something had taken bites from them. Have crape myrtle looks the same.

That is weird,my peach tree is still lush and green,no leaves dropping. Maybe it's been unusually dry where your tree is located and the stress is causing it to prematurely defoliate. Cottonwoods are bad about that too. If its bugs you should be able to see them. If the tree put on 1-2 feet of new growth this past season I wouldn't worry about it as the leaves are due to fall off soon anyway.

I would never plant a pecan tree. They are the messiest trees ever. I could make a careen out of cutting down the sprouts.

2 falls ago they totally ate every single leaf off 3,10 ft Red oaks. Been growing them since I found em. One weekend they were cool, but the next weekend all leafs gone. Spring they grew back like crazy. This year ( last month) with the Covid crap, spent more time at prop. Saw the worms starting to devour leafs. Spayed with, don’t remember, but took care of problem. Only Juvenile red oaks is what I don’t understand. I have chestnut, persimmon, white oak, pear and sawtooth oak growing. Go figure. The leafs are rough and scraggly looking not bright green like In the spring. They ate them anyway.

The pear trees around one of my deer stands lost all their leaves a month or more ago. They had looked eaten on before that. I'm not there enough to know what was going on with them. One now thinks it's Spring and has started to leaf out again and is covered in blooms, but the others are still bare. I snapped twigs on the others and they are green and alive. It's close enough to winter that I suspect they will be fine.

Yes it is still green when bark is removed. Saw a ant hole in the ground within about 6 feet, no ants to be seen. Going to put poison on the ant bed and see what happens.

And make sure it isn't planted too deep.

Ants aren't the problem. They're a symptom

It's fall - peach trees are shutting down. If your tree has had a good year - it should have everything already stored up in roots, and be shutting down. Even if bugs eat leaves this late, won't hurt the tree a bit.
Whatever you do, Do Not fertilize this late in the year, could stimulate new growth/leaves 'out of season' which will deplete reserves & rest that tree needs to start in spring.
Last thing would be just to make sure it's in well-draining soil - too much moisture can lead to diseased trees.
