Does anyone know why unit 3 at at the national grasslands has been close to target shooting, just curious thanks

I was in the Grassland office back in Feb, and was told they dont allow shooting there anymore due to people trashing the place. Personally never been on unit 3, I typically just go to fish the lake and kayak.

Personally never been on unit 3, I typically just go to fish the lake and kayak. Makes sense, grandson and I went there for years and was always picking up other's trash, especially hulls, hoping this wouldn't happen. Thanks for your input.
