My SIL put a feeder on 10 acres in Bandera that I bought last winter. I won't be there until late December. Hopefully there will be Axis bucks still carrying racks by then.

I sure hope they hang around and you can kill them all. From what I can remember from hunting Bandera County for 31 years, (been gone for about 5 years) a fair group of the axis shed just after the beginning of the year. donk might be about to help with this.
What part of the county is your place?

Probably very few will have hard antlers at that time. Besides that you never know where the Axis will be. They travel so much unless they are behind a HF you may have some and you may not.

I am off Highway 173 about 15 minutes from Bandera. Friends and family own property around Bandera, I have been spending time there for a couple years and Axis are everywhere.
