It was 38 degrees on Menard Bank and 36 on the river west of town. I have never seen temps in the 30's in September in Menard County.

I can't wait for Saturday morning. It's going to warm up a bit but I'll take the upper 50's over 75 before the sun breaks any day. Will be the most comfortable opening morning is quite a few years.

Really has been nice weather the last week and I had 52 yesterday morning here in Western Goliad County. I was up NW of Fredericksburg last week and it was 44 one morning well before daylight....pretty sure it was cooler down on the creek bottoms just before sunrise. I have seen lower 40's in Kendall County around the 24th of September one year and it sure felt nice. Hope it gets and stay cool enough to keep the army worms away.
