This will be my first year trying for a deer with the crossbow. Can I shoot theough the camo mesh that comes over ground blind windows?

You can but I do not use mechanical broadheads if I am shooting through the mesh. Haven't tried it lately but when I tried it a couple mechanical heads opened. Fixed blades I could not see any negative effect out to 30 yards .

Whoa wait a minute. IF the windows have the fine shoot through mesh NOT the heavy camo mesh you’re good. Replacement mesh is available also. Good hunting

I had a bad experience last year. I won't be doing it this year.

Would never shoot through it if the shot was over twenty yards.

Set it up (blind), put target out, start 20yrds, shoot broad head threw mesh...
Target & live target two different things...
Had a deer duck under arrow @ 20yrds...
Always carried arrow with field tip..
@ end of hunt, look around, nothing moving...
picked out leaf, 20yrds, make sure bow was on...
bang got busted on a hunt doing this... Didnt see the deer @ edge of thick brush...
Best wish's...

Here's a pic of the setup not the actual incident. The doe I would have been shooting at would be further left of the left most deer. Anyway, a doe came out in view but got hung up and wouldn't ever get straight in front of my blind window, it was at an angle to the left. I decided to make the shot anyway. the broadhead hit the mesh and I could see it in slow motion curve right, after it cut through the mesh. Instead of hitting the doe behind the shoulder it went low and in front of the whole deer. It shattered when it hit the hog trap so I didn't retrieve anything intact. Glad it was a clean miss. It could be because of the way the fletching went through the opening. I was using a Muzzy trocar and didn't expect that. I'm not sure why it happened but I just keep the mesh all the way down now. I wear a black mask and it seems to keep me hidden in the shadow. That evening I did take a doe.

I hunted from a double bull blind for years, never shot through the mesh. I also was never busted opening up the window, I wore all black.

No. I make sure I'm in a really good brushed in ground blind, dark inside and wear black clothing and cover face. Never had a problem shooting through open spaces. I just try to eliminate all chances of mishap. Oh and don't shoot through mesh with a muzzleloader. Guy did that on a bear hunt and whole ground blind went up in smoke/flame

I was concerned about the same thing and switched to the Magnus Stinger just so I could shoot through the mesh. I was told, as long as the mesh is tight, its not a big deal. I want to believe this, it makes since that loose mesh will pull or hang-on to the arrow when you shoot through it.
