Sounded like a good idea to me a year or so ago. I like the round. I have a whitetail set up and one in an AR platform. Tikka T3X with a five round mag, B & C stock, Leupold VX3i and Wilson Combat, Leupold VX6. They're great shooters, plenty of ammo options like Hornady 143 gr. ELDX and 129 gr. SST. I've killed a pile of stuff with these set ups. The Tikka is great to carry all day when putting in the miles.

Yup. Have three different rifles that all eat 308 ammo - a Remington 700, a Springfield M1A, and a G3 type rifle.

Well yeah, gotta have a backup “bob” and a backup to that backup just in case....at least that is what I tell myself.

Used to hunt Prairie Dogs with an outfitter who had two identical 220 swift custom rifles. Shoot one til it gets hot, swap out and never miss a beat.

I have six rifles in .308, two of which are twin Winchester M70 Featherweights. My primary deer rifle was one of them and I like carrying a back-up rifle because life happens. When I was shopping around for a backup rifle for my M70, I thought, "why not? I like the rifle.. Why not have two?" They even wear the same scope and sling and are sighted in with the same ammo.

Now that's belief and dedication to a brand.
